Wicked Maine!
My husband and I took a little time to visit Wicked Maine...Lobsters, Clam Chowder, Oceans, Inlets, Antiques...what a great time we had. Here are some photos of wicked Maine!
This is the Portland Head Light...probably the most photographed lighthouse in America.
This photo is of the colorful vegetation in the rocks below the Head Light.
The grounds around the Head Light are just gorgeous! Did you notice the compass rose?
Here the Head Light from the north side.
This was taken from the new bridge overlook and the hamlet across the river is Bucksport. Beautiful!
Here's a shot of the bridge from the overlook. I hate heights
One day we had fog, all day. This is a shot of Camp Ellis boat ramp.
Sun Rise at Camp Ellis. Magnicificant! And for this Colorado gal, it was really early in the morning!
We had a fantastic time. I would love to live there all year round. Lobsters, the Ocean, inlets, wicked cool! Have you been to Maine? Or are you lucky enough to live there??? If you're a realtor there with a good deal...call me! LOL

Beautiful Pictures! This place looks like it belongs in a story, not a real place. Even the foggy day looks romantic. Isn't traveling great!
Awesome eye candy! Make sure you post a link in the contest comment section to your outside blog and have this posted in localism as well. :-)
Linda: I know. I just love travel. If only I were rich...I'd be traveling all over.
Carolyn: You lost me, "post a link in the contest comment section to your outside blog." I'm not sure what you mean. I'm going to post to the group, please let me know if this is correct.
Hi Linda ... Beautiful photos. I haven't been to Maine in years. Used to go to camp and hike, and of course eat!
Marie: Let's go to Maine, now...I think I'll even like the winters.
Patricia: Thank you.
I grew up in Maine and New Hampshire - (Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME) - was a transplant out here to WA .... when you show pictures like this I miss it,. Took me 3 years to figure out which direction I was going because the ocean was always on the wrong side out here!! Now - It's tough I don't think I'd leave here either but I would love to visit New England .....My husband says New England has mole hills compared to the WA mountains - that part I WILL give him... but NOTHING beats a Maine Live lobster!!! Great pictures..
Ok, why are folks thinking I'm Linda???
Valerie: You've had the best of both world...Hanna Montana...LOL...Washington is also beautiful. We were there a couple of years ago. Port Angeles...hmm, could be another great post for me. Thanks.
Marianne - I was looking at her comment when I started to respond but I realized my error and took it out!! (my sister is Linda too)!!! Been to Montana - liked the western part hated the eastern.... we about roasted our butts of on our motorcycles in eastern Montana!!! Port Angeles, Port Townsend, We are out by Hood Canal - pretty beautiful and far enough away but close enough to everything!!!!
Valere: Thank you! I appreciate that! I'm in Colorado. Very pretty, but obviously I'd prefer Maine! Perhaps someday....
LOL ... I'm sorry ... I mean Marianne! And Yes, I'd love to go to Maine now. But I should probably go to sleep!
Marie: It's so close for you. My husband is from Upstate NY...Oswego. Don't think I really like living there! Call me when your ready, and we'll just jet out.
Marianne, Those are some gorgeous pictures of Maine. We have always wanted to visit; but only in the summer.
Marchel: I want to visit Texas. Can you post some photos for me, please? And where is Spring?
Some great photos, enjoyed viewing them. A great variety of shots.
Eric: Thanks for the response! Would you have any photos of where you live that you could share with us? (me)
Hi Marianne, Spring is a northern suburb of Houston. We moved here indirectly from Denver Colorado. I say indirectly in that we went to North Carolina for 2 1/2 years before we came to Spring. One of my favorite post was about why I love Spring. We could have come here first but didn't think we would like it (lol).
Marchel: Did you like North Carolina? I'll check out your post on "why I love Spring." I guess with that name that you do like Spring.
This is a place I have on wish list of places to ride my horse someday. Pictures are gorgeous!
Tami: How on earth would you get your horse to Maine? That's a long way for the horse in a trailer, right?
What great pictures, I love the one of the Lighthouse....I would frame some of those....what great presents they could make.
Nancy: Thank you! I use some of them for desktop wallpaper. Haven't considered them as gifts...I'll mull that one over.
What a pretty place Marianne! Those photos are great, they are so beautiful, they look fake!
Patricia: I assure you that I took them, personally. They weren't even taken by my husband! Maine is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for stopping by!
I honestly can't tell which pictures I love more. The lighthouse ones or the one of the sunset.
Fantastic photo's Marianne. That shot from the overlook almost make me queasy. :)
